All workers, subcontractors, suppliers, and visitors must follow these rules when on a Keen Construction worksite.
Site Induction

All workers and visitors must complete the site induction before entering the site.

Sign the site register or digital induction form.

Follow all instructions from the Site Supervisor.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
The following PPE must be worn where required:

Safety boots
-
Hi-visibility clothing
-
Hard hat (where overhead hazards exist)

Safety glasses
-
Gloves when handling materials
-
Hearing protection when exposed to loud noise
-
Respiratory protection when exposed to dust or hazardous substances
Workers must ensure their PPE is fit for purpose and in good condition.
Hazard Awareness
All workers must:

Be aware of site hazards
-
Follow the control measures in place
-
Report new hazards immediately
If a hazard cannot be controlled safely, stop work and notify the Site Supervisor.
Tools and Equipment

Only use tools and equipment you are trained and authorised to use.

Ensure tools are safe and maintained.
-
Electrical tools must be tested and tagged where required.
-
Do not remove safety guards.
Working at Height
When working at height:

Use approved scaffolding, edge protection, or fall protection systems.

Ladders must be secure and used correctly.
-
Never work at height without proper fall protection where required.
Housekeeping
Keep the worksite tidy:

Remove waste and debris regularly
-
Keep access ways clear
-
Store materials safely
-
Secure tools and equipment when not in use
Good housekeeping reduces trip, slip, and fire hazards.
Drugs and Alcohol
Drugs and alcohol are strictly prohibited on site.
Anyone believed to be impaired may be removed from site immediately.
Incident and Hazard Reporting
All incidents must be reported to the Site Supervisor immediately, including:

Injuries

Near misses
-
Property damage
-
New hazards
This helps prevent further incidents.
Visitors and Public Safety

Visitors must report to the Site Supervisor

Visitors must complete site induction
-
Visitors must wear required PPE
Workers must be mindful of public safety near the worksite.
Emergency Procedures
In the event of an emergency:

Dial 111

Notify the Site Supervisor

Assist injured persons if safe to do so
-
Proceed to the designated assembly point - if unsure, assemble on the opposite side of the road.
If the assembly point is unclear, assemble on the opposite side of the road away from the worksite.
Do not re-enter the site until authorised by the Site Supervisor or emergency services.
Stop Work Authority
Every worker has the authority to stop work if they believe it is unsafe.
Safety takes priority over productivity.
